Lisa Rosa serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Western World Insurance Company.
The Western World Insurance companies specialize in Commercial General Liability, Professional Liability, Commercial Property and Commercial Auto insurance coverages. The Group carries the A (Excellent) rating from A.M. Best Company, and in 2014 had revenues of $317million, assets of $1.5 billion and shareholders’ equity of $704 million. The Western World group of companies became a fully-owned subsidiary of Validus Holdings, Ltd. in 2014.
Ms. Rosa joined Western World in 2006 as Vice President, Claims, was promoted to Senior Vice President in 2011, and to General Counsel in 2015.
Prior to joining Western World, Ms. Rosa was Senior Vice President, Claims at Selective Insurance in Branchville, NJ where she was responsible for all aspects of the company's claims operations, including its General Liability, Auto, Property, Workers Compensation, Environmental and Professional Liability lines of business.
Ms. Rosa received her BA in History from Vassar College in 1981 and her JD from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden in 1984.
She is admitted to both the New Jersey and Connecticut Bar Associations. She is a member of the International Association of Claims Professionals and attended the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices (NAPSLO) Executive Leadership School at the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business in 2012.
